(Usus Antiquior) Epiphany of the Lord (Double I Classis) – Friday, 6 January 2017 : Introit and Collect

Liturgical Colour : White
Malachi 3 : 1 and Psalm 71 : 1
Ecce, advenit dominator Dominus : et regnum in manu Ejus et potestas et imperium.

Deus, judicium Tuum Regi da : et justitiam Tuam Filio Regis.

Priest : Gloria Patri et Filio et Spiritui Sancto, sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper : et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.
English translation
Behold the Lord the Ruler has come, and a kingdom in His hand, and power and dominion.

Give to the king Your judgment, o God, and to the King’s Son Your justice.

Priest : Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Amen.
English translation
O God, Who by the guidance of a star had on this day revealed Your only begotten Son to the Gentiles, mercifully grant that we, who know You now by faith, may also be led to behold with our eyes the beauty of Your majesty. Through the same Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who with You lives and reigns in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, world without end. Amen.
