Jubilate Deo, universa terra : psalmum dicite Nomini Ejus : venite et audite, et narrabo vobis, omnes qui timetis Deum, quanta fecit Dominus animae meae, Alleluja.

English translation

Shout with joy to God, all the earth. Sing all of you a psalm to His Name. Come and hear, and I will tell you, all you who fear God, what great things the Lord had done for my soul. Alleluia.

Secret Prayer of the Priest

Oblata, Domine, munera sanctifica : nosque a peccatorum nostrorum maculis emunda. Per Dominum nostrum Jesum Christum Filium Tuum, Qui Tecum vivis et regnas in unitate Spiritus Sancti Deus, per omnia saecula saeculorum. Amen.

English translation

Sanctify, o Lord, the gifts we offer, and purify us from the stains of our sins. Through our Lord Jesus Christ Your Son, who with You lives and reigns in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, world without end. Amen.

Communion

John 2 : 7, 8, 9, 10-11

Dicit Dominus : Implete hydrias aqua et ferte architriclino. Cum gustasset architricilinus aquam vinum factam, dicit sponso : Servasti bonum vinum usque adhuc. Hoc signum ferit Jesus primum coram discipulis Suis.

English translation

The Lord said, “Fill the waterpots with water, and carry to the chief steward of the feast.” When the chief steward had tasted the water made wine, he said to the bridegroom, “You have kept the good wine until now.” This first miracle Jesus had done before His disciples.

Post-Communion Prayer

Augeatur in nobis, quaesumus, Domine, Tuae virtutis operatio : ut divinis vegetati sacramentis, ad eorum promissa capienda, Tuo munere praeparemur. Per Dominum nostrum Jesum Christum Filium Tuum, Qui Tecum vivis et regnas in unitate Spiritus Sancti Deus, per omnia saecula saeculorum. Amen.

English translation

May the working of Your power, we beg You, o Lord, be increased in us, that, being nourished by divine sacraments, we may by Your grace be prepared to obtain that which they promise. Through our Lord Jesus Christ Your Son, who with You lives and reigns in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, world without end. Amen.

The parents of Jesus carried Him to the Temple, to present Him to the Lord.

Placationis hostiam offerimus tibi, Domine, suppliciter deprecantes : ut, per intercessionem Deiparae Virginis cum beato Joseph, familias nostras in pace et gratia tua firmiter constituas. Per eumdem Christum Dominum nostrum. Amen.

English translation

To appease You, o Lord, we offer the Victim of Salvation, humbly beseeching You that, through the prayers of the Virgin Mother of God and of St. Joseph, You would establish our households in Your peace and favour. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Preface of the Epiphany

Vere dignum et justum est, aequum et salutare, nos tibi semper et ubique gratias agere : Domine, Sancte Pater omnipotens, aeterne Deus : Quia, cum Unigenitus Tuus in substantiae nostrae mortalitatis apparuit, nova nos immortalitatis suae luce reparavit. English translation

It is truly meet and just, right and salutary, that we should always, and in all places, give thanks to You, o Holy Lord, Father Almighty, eternal God. Because Your only begotten Son appearing in our mortal nature had restored it by the shedding upon us of that new and immortal light which is His very own. And therefore with the Angels and Archangels, with the Thrones and Dominations and with all the array of the heavenly host, we sing a hymn to Your glory and unceasingly repeat :

Luke 2 : 51

Descendit Jesus cum eis, et venit Nazareth, et erat subditus illis.

English translation

Jesus went down with them, and came to Nazareth and was subject to them.

Post-Communion Prayer

Quos caelestibus reficis sacramentis, fac, Domine Jesu, Sanctae Familiae Tuae exempla jugiter imitari : ut in hora mortis nostrae, occurrente gloriosa Virgine Matre tua cum beato Joseph; per te in aeterna tabernacula recipi mereamur : Qui vivis et regnas cum Deo Patre in unitate Spiritus Sancti Deus, per omnia saecula saeculorum. Amen.

English translation

May You, o Lord, bring us whom You have refreshed with heavenly mysteries to imitate the example of Your Holy Family, that at the hour of our death, with the Virgin Mother and blessed Joseph at hand, we may be received by You into our everlasting home. Who lives and reigns with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, world without end. Amen.

Benedictio Tua, clementissime Deus, qua omnis viget creatura, sanctificet, quaesumus, hoc sacrificium nostrum, quod ad gloriam Nominis Filii Tui, Domini nostri Jesu Christi, offerimus tibi ut majestati Tuae placere possit ad laudem, et nobis proficere ad salutem. English translation

May Your blessing, o most merciful God, by which the whole creation had life, sanctify this our sacrifice, which we offer You to the glory of the Name of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, that it may be pleasing to Your majesty as an act of praise and be profitable to us for our salvation. It is truly meet and just, right and available to salvation, that we should always and in all places give thanks to You, o Holy Lord, Father Almighty, eternal God, because by the mystery of the Word made flesh, from Your brightness a new Light had risen to shine on the eyes of our souls, in order that, God becoming visible to us, we may be borne upward to the love of things invisible. And therefore with the Angels and Archangels, with the Dominions and Powers, with all the hosts of the heavenly army, we sing of Your glory without end saying :

Communion

Psalm 85 : 9-10

Omnes gentes, quascumque fecisti, venient et adorabunt coram Te, Domine, et glorificabunt Nomen Tuum : quoniam magnus es Tu et faciens mirabilia : Tu es Deus solus, Alleluja.

English translation

All the nations You have made shall come and adore before You, o Lord, and they shall glorify Your Name. For You are great, and had done wonderful things. You are God alone. Alleluia.

Post-Communion Prayer

Omnipotens aeternae Deus, qui creasti et redemisti nos, respice propitius vota nostra : et sacrificium salutaris hostiae, quod in honorem Nominis Filii Tui, Domini nostri Jesu Christi, majestati Tuae obtulimus, placido et benigno vultu suscipere digneris; ut gratia Tua nobis infusa, sub glorioso Nomine Jesu, aeternae praedestinationis titulo gaudeamus nomina nostra scripta esse in caelis. English translation

Almighty, eternal God, who had created and redeemed us, graciously regard our desires, and deign to receive with kind and peaceful countenance the sacrifice of the saving Victim, which we have offered to Your majesty, in honour of the Name of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, that Your grace being poured out upon us, we may rejoice in the glorious Name of Jesus, the title of eternal predestination, because our names are written in heaven. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
